Make Biodegradable Natural Art
We have lots of ideas for Nature Art in this nature connector, but these ideas are all for creating art from nature out in the natural environment.
If it’s windy, you’d prefer to bring your nature art inside, you want it to last a bit longer, or you just want to do something different, how about making your own glue and making some biodegradable nature art?
Thank you so much to Johanna and her gorgeous daughter Mila for sharing this great idea with us. They took our ‘Make a Nature Rainbow’ idea to a whole new level!
After doing a nature walk and collecting natural taonga to use as resources for their art, they settled down inside to create it.
They mixed flour and water together to make glue, and then glued their flowers onto reused cardboard. The artwork is stunning, and after they have finished making it and have taken photos, it will eventually be able to be composted and returned to the earth. What an awesome idea!
It is amazing art using nature’s beauty, as well as being low cost and zero waste!
Below you can see our Kids Greening Taupō student leader Katherine’s incredible natural art. She made her biodegradable art into a costume too! It’s beautiful!
Thank you so much Johanna, Mila, and Katherine for sharing your gorgeous creations. We think you are very clever.
