Let Emotions Go
Read the wonderful New Zealand book by Rebekah Lipp and Craig Phillips (Wildling Books) called, ‘Let it Go’, and then practise noticing your emotion, labeling it, acknowledging it, thinking about what has happened for it to be with you, and then letting it go.
How do you let emotions go? There are lots of great ideas in the book. Here are a few of them:
Allow yourself to cry
Write your feelings down and then make them into paper planes and throw them away
Make friends with fear
Breathe Deeply like Aroha. You can learn to do this HERE.
We find getting outside and connecting with nature can often make us feel better. Go for a walk or run, listen to birds, breathe in the fresh air, roll down a hill, look carefully at the beauty around you and show gratitude to nature. Check out our nature connectors for other ideas.
