Paint with Nature
Go for a walk around your garden or local green space. Collect items that are different textures. Can you find items that are different shapes? What items do you think will make interesting patterns? Try things like stones, pine cones, seed heads, leaves, flowers, sticks, and bark.
Put blobs of paint out on a piece of card or on an ice cream container lid. Dip the items into the paint and then brush or stamp them onto the paper. What kind of patterns can you create? Try rolling the item in the paint and then rolling it on your paper. Can you paint a picture using your items? Have fun experimenting with texture, pattern, and colour.
