Learn About Worms
Go on a worm hunt! Dig in soil or compost to find worms, observe them closely and feel them in your hands. How do they move? Do you think they have eyes? Can you find different species? What else can you notice about them? Think about where you found the worms. What is their habitat and what do you think they need to survive? What do you think they eat? Be gentle with the precious worms and make sure you return them to the soil (unless you decide to make a wormery to put them in). Do some citizen science and take part in the Great Kiwi Earthworm Survey!
