A Celebration of Matariki with Central Kids Waipāhīhī Kindergarten

Central Kids Waipāhīhī Kindergarten made their Matariki celebrations memorable by planting the trees they received for Greening Taupō Day. They recognised Matariki as a time to reflect on the past and to look forward to new beginnings. As the children and their whānau entered the centre, they were able to write their wishes and goals for the upcoming year. Heidi from KGT was present to assist the children in planting the trees. With excitement, the children placed their wishes in the ground as they planted the trees. As they nurtured their trees, they would also be nurturing their dreams and aspirations for the year ahead.

KGT was honored to be part of their Matariki celebrations. It was wonderful for the families of Central Kids Waipāhīhī Kindergarten to come together as a community, connect with the land and each other.
