Teacher Celebration Evening

Thanks so much to Hilltop School Taupō for hosting this year's teacher celebration and sharing evening. Over thirty teachers attended and many shared their environmental education stories from this year, celebrated together and inspired each other. It's fantastic to see the wide range of exciting initiatives happening in our area. Thanks to Bubu Coffee Roasters for sponsoring food for this event. Thanks Contact Energy First Credit Union and The Possum for helping to fund many of the projects.

The teacher celebration ended with a nature quiz around the school using the signs that Hilltop students created last year about some of the native plants on their school grounds.  They were printed by Quality Print Ltd onto outdoor signage material. Recently some of our student leaders put the signs up and made up a quiz with a question for each one, so that other classes could go on a hunt around the school to find the signs, read them, and answer the questions. We loved receiving some of the photos below from one of the teachers with an email saying that the kids had heaps of fun doing the quiz with each other.
