Youth Week
Youth week is an annual nationwide festival of events to celebrate the talents, passion and success of young people. As part of this event KGT joined the Taupō Youth Network and visited Taupō -nui-a-Tia, Tauhara, Tongariro, Reporoa Colleges and Taupō Intermediate school.
The rangatahi were able to learn about the predators and browsers through the activities of predator bowling and shooting the predator with nerf guns. We were able to engage about the wide range of mammals that have been introduced to New Zealand and the impact that these have on our native species and biodiversity.
