Make your own Bird's Nest
Become a bird for your next art activity! Collect natural resources to build your very own nest and add some painted eggs to it.
If you have a real bird nest to look at, it’s always interesting to look carefully and see what materials real birds use. You might find things like hair, wool, moss, lichen, leaves, and sadly even plastic. This can lead to some interesting discussions.
Then, imagine you are a bird and go scavenging! Go for a nature walk and see what can you find to make a soft cosy nest for your eggs. Collect resources and then think about how you can put them together to make your nest. Be creative!
