Celebrating our Planters

Our Greening Taupō community planting days are usually held in the weekends. When children come along, they are able to fill in a certificate thanks to Quality Print Taupō. We hold on to these certificates and the children add a sticker to them each time they come to a planting day. If they collect 4 stickers, they receive a native plant to take home. If they receive 8 stickers, they get to choose another plant!

This year we made an effort to present these certificates to the students at their school assembly or in a presentation at their kindergarten. It was lovely to be able to acknowledge their efforts to improve the environment and to also speak to their schools/centres about what we do and how other students can be involved. Thank you so much Shawn Vennell and Quality Print Taupō for sponsoring this awesome initiative.
