Project Tongariro AGM

Kids Greening Taupō, Greening Taupo and Predator Free Taupo are all projects that come under the Project Tongariro umbrella. In November 2024 we were lucky to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Project Tongarirō in Ohakune. We had a great time exploring alpine flushes (like alpine wetlands), hearing about the history of this awesome organisation and the tragic event that led to it being formed, and reconnecting with great people.

That little wilding pine growing in such a beautiful spot was quickly dealt to, and became our Christmas Tree!
